About concept B
A second, deliberately different direction.
This is design concept B, made by Clearview for our proposal to the City of Edgerton. It isn't the City's website. For anything you need to act on, use edgertonks.org. Concept A is at edgerton-concept-cv26.npage.dev.
How B differs from A
- Colour. A keeps the City's brown, lime and orange. B proposes a new palette, taken from the tagline in the City's own logo, Global routes. Local roots.: navy and route teal for the inland port, wheat for the prairie, and a signal orange used only for alerts and "next". The logo itself is unchanged.
- The way in. A keeps the City's Live / Work / City menus. B starts from a search box and one A–Z list of services, with Residents, Business and Government as filters.
- Meetings run along a route line; the code opens in a three-pane reader; the calendar is week by week instead of a month grid.
Both concepts use the same content, so the Committee can compare the design and not the words. Either direction, or a mix, can be built on the platform the proposal describes.
What it isn't
- Not the official website, and not the production platform. The proposal builds the City's site on WordPress, in the City's own hosting account. This concept runs on Nanopage, a site platform Clearview is involved in building through our CTO, Jasmin Ihtijarevic. Nothing in the proposal depends on it.
- Not a rebrand decision. A palette is a proposal the City would decide on in design, with the logo kept.
- Nothing invented. Text, meetings, documents, events and news come from the City's published website. The city boundary is from the U.S. Census Bureau (TIGERweb). Staff screens are labelled illustrative, and anything unconfirmed says To confirm.
How we handle it
Unlisted and excluded from search engines, for the City's evaluation only. We'll take it down whenever the City asks. Content was captured from edgertonks.org in October 2026.
Accessibility
Built and tested to WCAG 2.2 AA with automated checks (axe-core) on every page, with the design notes on and off, at desktop, phone and 320-pixel widths, and with text at 200%. Every text colour in the palette meets AA contrast on its background.
